Summer weather hung around longer this year, but the cooler temperatures are finally settling in to stay. For those of us living in or traveling to four season country, then you’re probably excited to finally break out the light sweaters, plaids, earth tones, jeans and fleeces. And, if you’re anything like me, then you LOVE shoes…and this season means time for cute BOOTS!
If you’re looking for comfort without having to sacrifice style, then when it comes to travel fashion, low-heeled boots are the way to go. They are the number one item to pack for fall to spring travel—perfect for day and easily transition to night. Check out the following list of boots to find a great style staple for your next trip.
Steve Madden Troopa Combat Boot
This mid-calf leather boot seems to be extremely trendy and I can see why. The military-inspired design gives you an edgy yet laid back look but doesn’t sacrifice any comfort.
Although perfect for the fall/winter seasons, this boot can be worn all year long. Tuck in some skinny jeans for a classic travel look in the cooler months or wear with a casual sundress for a softer look when it’s warmer. Versatility must be its middle name. Buy your pair here!
Rieker-Antistress Payton 20 Ankle Boot
For colder weather, these are brilliant! They are fleece lined, so it’s like wrapping your feet in blankets. They also feature a shock absorbing outsole which keeps the bounce in your step as you walk endlessly on your next trip.
The style can’t be beat either! The details are what made me fall in love with this boot. I took these boots to New York City in December and they came through like a champ in the wet colder weather. Note…I did add an insole to make them even more comfy.
Interesting side note…the company, Rieker, was founded in the Black Forest region of Southern Germany in 1874 and originally produced shoes for the affluent citizens of Northern Italy. They are now a well known brand all across central Europe. Get your Rieker Boots here!
Clarks Maypearl Juno (Ankle Boot)
The brand name should already tell you that they’re comfortable. Clarks seem to be synonymous with comfort and you will not be disappointed with the Maypearl Junos as they come with an ortholite footbed.
These booties have such a vintage look with nice classic details you will adore wearing these day in and day out! Buy yours here!
Lucky Brand Women’s Basel Leather Booties
This pair of Lucky Brand booties are a little bit rock and roll and are available in a number of colors and textures. The toffee color featured here is gorgeous!
Both zippers on either side are functional making it easy to get on and off while the classic style makes it simply that…a classic. Note…these do seem to run a little narrow so proceed with that in mind. Buy your pair here!
BP. Francine Split Shaft Bootie
The leather upper on these fantastic booties feels like microfiber, but they’re suede. They are a beautiful pair of boots and easy to wear with everything. There’s elastic goring at the deeply split shaft of this low-heel bootie, but overall it has minimal detailing for easy versatility.
This iconic Nordstrom Made brand, BP will be hard to find as they are out of stock on the Nordstrom site. But you may find your pair here!
Franco Sarto Pebbles Bootie
You can’t go wrong with a classic chukka boot and this suede bootie by Franco Sarto is class personified. You can easily dress these boots up or down, so they are perfect for a go-to travel bootie. Get yours here!
Style & Co Wessley Casual Booties, Created for Macy’s
I adore these black booties! Are they comfortable? Yes! And, they feature a microsuede upper as well as a quilted detail along the back for added texture and style.
I wore these all over Italy and they were perfect for the amount of walking I did, plus looked incredibly stylish to roll right into dinner on my way back to crash for the night! Since these are an exclusive for Macy’s they are now sold out, but you can still find some out there. Buy yours here!
